By Sean O’Connell Hollywoodnews.com: Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta, Boston and Austin are just a few of the cities who earned the chance to host advance sneak previews of “Paranormal Activity 2” ahead of its Oct. 22nd opening date. The screenings will be held Wednesday, Oct. 20, at midnight. Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Phoenix, San Diego and Philadelphia are a few other cities named by Paramount in a release. The studio claims more than 250,000 signed up to request the sequel using the “Demand it!” program, which also benefitted the original “Paranormal Activity” “It seemed to be a natural fit for us to sneak ‘Paranormal Activity 2’ to those fans who played such an integral role in the success of last year’s [hit],” said Rob Moore, vice chairman of Paramount Pictures. “We are excited that there is so much anticipation for the follow-up thriller.” In the sequel, directed by Tod Williams, a family sets up security cameras around their house after they suspect the presence of a burglar, but are terrified with what they actually discover. Katie Featherston returns from the original film, while IMDb lists the presence of Gabriel Johnson as a character billed as “Raphael Omen / Demon Killer.” To “Demand” the sequel, visit www.ParanormalMovie.com.
